We thoroughly enjoyed attending the gay pride parade in New Mexico

My brother and I live approximately an hour outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

It’s honestly too luxurious to live in the city, however we save a pretty good amount of money by living in the places outside of the city.

Both of us are still close enough to hang out downtown on the weekends. Last weekend, my brother and I went to Albuquerque for the gay pride parade. Both of us knew it was going to be an enjoyable time, because Albuquerque is already a fun and exciting lgbtq-friendly city. On our way to Albuquerque, we decided to check out the dispensary outside the city. Both of us did not want to wait until we arrived inside of Albuquerque city limits, because the taxes on cannabis are higher. On our particular side of the city, the Albuquerque cannabis tax is 22%. Inside the city, the cannabis tax is 31%. I guess the taxes are set up according to the county, city, and state. Of course, Albuquerque charges us for all of the above. Both of us saved a good $100 by grabbing our supplies before making our way into the city. It’s a wonderful thing that we did stop at a dispensary, because we actually spent all day and all night in the city. After the gay pride parade was done, we made the choice to meet up with some friends and had some good dinner. After that, every one of us went to a bar and started drinking for the rest of the night. We really did not consider driving back until after lunch the following day. By then, we were totally out of cannabis and ready to fall over into a cozy bed for the rest of the day.
